HOW WE VERIFY
EV MECHANICS
Unlike Yelp or Google reviews, we don't rely on opinions. We verify actual credentials, training records, and capabilities.
VERIFICATION FOR EVS
Electric vehicles aren't just cars with batteries. They operate on fundamentally different systems that require specialized knowledge and safety training.
High-voltage systems in EVs (400-800V) can be lethal if handled improperly. Untrained technicians risk serious injury—and can cause expensive damage to your vehicle.
Traditional review platforms can't tell you if a mechanic is actually qualified to work on EVs. A shop might have great reviews for oil changes but zero EV training.
That's why we verify credentials, not opinions.
We are not a certification body. We don't train mechanics or issue certifications.
We verify that shops have obtained legitimate certifications from recognized organizations like ASE, OEMs, and safety training providers.
OUR VERIFICATION PROCESS
Every shop in our directory goes through a multi-step verification process before being listed.
Credential Verification
We verify all claimed certifications directly with issuing organizations. ASE, OEM programs, and safety certifications must be current and valid.
Training Documentation
Shops provide documentation of EV-specific training programs completed by their technicians, including high-voltage safety protocols.
Equipment & Capability Review
We confirm shops have appropriate diagnostic equipment and safety gear required for the certification level they claim.
Ongoing Verification
Certifications are re-verified annually. Shops must maintain current credentials to remain listed at their certification level.

WHAT WE DON'T DO
We don't use crowd-sourced reviews
Reviews are subjective and can't verify technical competence. A shop might have great reviews but no EV training.
We don't accept payment for listings
Shops can't buy their way onto our directory. Verification is based solely on credentials.
We don't list everyone who applies
If a shop can't provide valid credentials, they don't get listed. We prioritize quality over quantity.
ARE YOU AN EV-CERTIFIED SHOP?
